Cymax Group announces appointment of Markus Frind as new Chief Executive Officer

Cymax Group is excited to announce the appointment of Markus Frind as its new CEO, effective March 12, 2024. He succeeds interim CEO, COO Mike Herenberg who will continue as Chief Operating Officer on the executive team. Frind joins at an exciting time as the organization celebrates 20 years of innovation and expands focus on Generative AI.

Frind has been part of the company since 2015 when he invested in the company and has been on the Board of Directors for over 9 years. He is a well-known technology industry thought-leader and investor that brings deep expertise in technology and innovation. “I am excited about the opportunities ahead of us,” said Frind. “I have lots of ideas on how we can infuse and inject technology and AI to continue to drive growth.” 

Frind is the founder of Plenty of Fish Media Inc. which sold to Match Group (Match.com) in 2015. In addition, he is CEO of Frind Properties and Proprietor of award-winning Frind Estate Winery in West Kelowna where he combines his passions for technology and agriculture.
