Rizwan Somji named EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2021 National Award Winner
Cymax Group Technologies is pleased to announce Rizwan (Riz) Somji, CEO, an EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® National Award Winner. EY has recognized Riz for having unstoppable ingenuity, alongside nine other national winners whose achievements demonstrate bold vision, transformative leadership, and sustainable success.
Before Cymax Group, Riz co-founded the tech company ResponseTek in 2000, developing their technology vision and strategy for their CEM enterprise SaaS products. He then joined Cymax Group in 2015 as Head of Technology, before becoming COO and then CEO in 2019.
At every stage of his entrepreneurial journey, Riz has been committed to testing, failing, learning, and moving forward. That tenacity has enabled him to completely change the trajectory of Cymax Group, which builds tech to support online eCommerce experiences.
The strength in his leadership as an innovative enabler of online retail sales stood out to the panel of judges for his ingenuity in leading the organization and propelling Cymax Group to establish a new brand in the marketplace.
Just this year, Cymax Group was recognized by the Globe and Mail as one of Canada’s fastest-growing companies and was a finalist for this year’s BC Tech Anchor Company of the Year.
